Drawing on thirty years as a BBC writer, bestselling author and cartoonist, John Byrne has developed an approach that builds confidence, imagination and spoken English simultaneously — working with students from age eleven through to adult level across a wide range of learning goals.

How sessions work
Sessions are delivered via Zoom — relaxed, interactive and tailored to the student or small group. A typical session combines a review of previous work, a new creative challenge, guided discussion throughout, and an opportunity to present and talk about finished ideas in English.
Rather than interrupting to correct mistakes, John models natural English within the conversation so confidence continues to build.
Students are given a creative project that keeps them thinking and communicating in English through the week — making the learning genuinely continuous.
John teaches via Zoom and works regularly with students and organisations across Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. He is happy to arrange sessions at times that suit your school or organisation, wherever you are based — whether for a one-off enrichment workshop, a short programme or ongoing weekly sessions.
